ELLEN SCHANTZ JOINS MCGOWAN CHARITABLE FUND AS PROGRAM DIRECTOR
CHICAGO, IL – Diana Spencer, Executive Director of the William G. McGowan Charitable Fund, today announced that Ellen Schantz has been appointed Program Director for the Fund. In this role, she will oversee the McGowan Fellows program, an initiative that operates in partnership with the nation’s leading graduate programs in Business Administration. Through an annual symposium and other activities, the Fund strives to offer exceptional future leaders a framework for ethical decision-making as well as a forum for ongoing dialogue throughout their careers.
Currents partners of the McGowan Fellows program are Carnegie Mellon University Tepper School of Business; Columbia University School of Business; Dartmouth College Tuck School of Business; Duke University Fuqua School of Business; Georgetown University McDonough School of Business; Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management; Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management; University of Chicago Booth School of Business; University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business; and University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.

Ellen Schantz comes to the McGowan Fund with more than twenty years of experience in program development and marketing communications in higher education and the arts. Most recently she served as Director of External Affairs for Northwestern University Bienen School of Music where she launched, managed, and created programming for the $100,000 Michael Ludwig Nemmers Prize in Music Composition; oversaw the Career Services program, and led the marketing communications activities. She has also served as Associate Professor and Chair in Arts Administration at Indiana University, Vice President for Marketing and Communications at the Indianapolis Symphony, and Director of Publicity and Promotion at Atlantic Records classical division.
